最近經濟好轉，打工仔希望加人工；可惜很多機構都興上瘦下，員工士氣也受到打擊。爭取加薪，英文是pay rise。Rise 在這裡屬於名詞。很多人混淆 raise和 rise，其實Raise 和 rise 兩者都是動詞，不過在意思上有些分別。Rise通常用於自然上升的情況；例如：日出 sunrise，而raise是指由外力或第三者引致的上升。例如：fund raising，raise your hand 。
